ASHEBORO — Senate members gifted the country with the passage of an $871 billion healthcare reform measure on Christmas Eve. The reaction from North Carolina legislators has been predictably along party lines with Republican U.S. Sen. Richard Burr panning the measure and Democrat U.S. Sen. Kaye Hagan applauding it.
